Mourtias Village - South Pelion

Mourtias is a small hamlet near to Liri (2km) with few permanent inhabitants. The beautiful and at the same time impressive beach of this hamlet, with the reddish rocks, scattered inside the sea (the locals called them Loumbarda), are a site that will capture and fascinate visitors.

In 2005, this beach was classified as “a beach of exceptional natural beauty” and gained
the 7th International position for beautiful beaches.

In Mourtias you will find a nice selection of rooms to let offering comfortable and pleasant accommodation.

The newly built and beautiful church of Agios Efstathios is located here, and every year on the 20th of September, a traditional and religious festival takes place, to which everyone is invited.

Though small in size, Mourtias is a very beautiful part of South Pelion, and one that makes a perfect destination for peaceful holidays. The Cultural Fishing Association Agios Efstathios, is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of this charming hamlet.

For your medical needs you will have to visit Argalasti, where you will be serviced by the Medical Center and the Pharmacy of Argalasti.
